Tri-State Steelheaders, July 11th Kick-Off Party.
Live music 5pm-7pm featuring Diego Romero. Open 4-9pm
At Tri-State Steelheaders Salmon Enhancement Group, our mission is to restore sustainable populations of native salmonids by enhancing habitat, providing public education and promoting recreational angling for future generations.
We envision a future where the Blue Mountain region has healthy river systems with sustainable populations for native salmon, steelhead and bull trout to provide robust recreational fishing opportunities for current and future generations.
Your support at Community Pint Night will help us provide salmon education to 1,700 students at 25 sites in Walla Walla, Columbia, and Garfield counties with our Salmon in School program.
Salmon in School is a hands-on, STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) based learning opportunity. The program provides each participating classroom with a fish tank, associated supplies, and a water chiller (salmon need cool water). Salmon eggs are provided to the tanks in the fall. Students receive monthly lessons from our staff related to the growing salmon. In the spring, the salmon are released into local streams. This leaves students with a personal connection to an icon of the northwest and prepares our youth for a future in STEM related careers.

JUNE 13th Community Pint Night Kickoff Party – Featuring Walla Walla Chamber Music Quartet
Live Music 5-6:30pm | Free to Attend
Founded in 2007, the Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival (WWCMF) now presents more than 40 public performances annually in the vibrant agricultural community of Walla Walla, WA. The goal of the Festival is to deepen the understanding and appreciation of classical chamber music while forging connections between musicians, audiences, venues, and the greater community. To accomplish this goal, WWCMF emphasizes the process of making music over the product of musical performance. As a result, Festival events appeal to the seasoned chamber-music aficionado and newbie alike.
More than half of WWCMF’s programming is presented free of admission. Almost daily Open Rehearsals take place in a variety of public venues like downtown shops, cultural institutions, and community centers. Children’s concerts under the title, Sounds Like Fun!, are presented in a variety of locations such as the public library or local YMCA. Finally, targeted Outreach performances bring chamber music to parts of the community who might not otherwise have access such as veterans and patients at the Jonathan M. Wainwright VA Medical Center.
